| The Daley Group Difference What are the two main reasons for company and leadership failure? Two thirds of small companies close their doors within the first five years. 80% of all family businesses fail during or shortly after transition. More than 50% of all managers fail. More than 25 billion investor dollars are lost annual. Lost jobs, bankruptcies, foreclosures and failed retirements are the end result. The two main reasons for the above is time and money. Too many managers think they can handle all their issues and so set out to learn by trial and error hoping no one will notice. The amount of money they have determines the amount of time they have left. When profitable sales are good inappropriate staffing, systems or processes can be masked and tolerated, but when profits decline these same issues can be devastating. Many times these managers will wait to ask for help until it is too late. They ask for help when it is a last resort and the resources for success are minimal or gone. Too many business support resources such as HR, accountants, lawyers and bankers believe coaching is expensive and/or not necessary. They too have been known to wait until the absolute last minute and then look for a miracle. Companies have to be grown with the consideration of the whole organization and it's market. Many times a consultant or coach with sales experience will offer to review and advise on the clients books. A CPA will offer to advise and consult on building a sales team. Everyone is a strategic planner yet without implementation strategic plans are worthless. The examples go on and on. Consultants or coaches working out of their area of training and experience just add to your trial and error costs. One of our first project managers made the observation after three months of actually running one of our clients companies with our coaching that he had no idea what he didn't know until he lay awake a night thinking about his people and their challenges. He was actually responsible for their success. Systems and processes are the easy part of business especially for us, behavioral change is more challenging. Einstein said doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome is the definition of insanity. Changing strong beliefs and practices takes a coach because we all tend to come back to where we are comfortable. We know from experience our clients have to change their perspective in order to change their results. The Daley Group Catalyst affect! Our executives are retired from very successful careers and are working together because they love the team atmosphere and what they do. Our team is trustworthy, passionate, and love the challenge.
