Gil began his marketing and advertising career in 1970 after
completing a Bachelors degree from the University of Cincinnati, a
Masters from Michigan State University, and a year toward his
doctorate at Ohio State University.
Trained as a broadcaster, he became enamored with marketing, direct
mail, and lead generation in the mid 80s and currently spends the
majority of his time developing and implementing lead-generating
campaigns to qualify and engage prospects, thus streamlining the
relationship-building aspects of the sales cycle.
Gil is an avid direct marketing writer. He currently writes and
distributes two nationally syndicated newsletters to the direct mail
industry and recently completed the second edition of his book Direct
Mail Success. His articles on direct marketing and direct mail have
appeared in numerous city business publications and trade association
publications.
